Leadership and Experience for Today's Challenges
Endorsement for Carl E. Robinson, Jr.
The Colonial Spectator by Dr. Harold Cadmus
March 17, 2010 New@Norman
Voters who have had enough of cronyism, nepotism, and political expediency and who want to insure that we have continuity in our county government as it continues its efforts to develop a professional and responsible system are urged to support Carl Robinson, Jr. and Jim Klein in the Republican primary election on May 4th.
Carl Robinson, Jr.
Mr. Robinson has all the potential to be an outstanding county commissioner. He grew-up in Lincoln County graduating from Rock Springs Elementary and East Lincoln High School. He subsequently graduated from Western Carolina University with an engineering degree and now works for Duke Energy. I doubt if there are many citizens in Lincoln County who are as widely known throughout the county and who are as well thought of by the general populace. I also doubt if there are many citizens in Lincoln County who have been involved in the number and variety of social, educational, athletic, political, and religious activities over the years as Mr. Robinson. I have personally known him for sixteen years and have been impressed not only with the enormous amount of time he has devoted to these communal activities but also with his refusal to seek the limelight or public notoriety for such efforts. He is now finishing his fourth year on the Lincoln County School Board and has served as Chairman of the Board. He was one of two school board members who stood firm as outspoken opponents of the unfortunate efforts to remove Dr. David Martin as Lincoln County School Superintendent. I urge all Republican and Independent voters to make a special effort in the upcoming primary election to support the candidacy of Carl Robinson, Jr. for county commissioner.
